Inner Re-Design 30th August 2025

A fun, creative Workshop.  Also offered as 1:1 sessions and online.  Art with Heart to create a collage and/or painting evoking the feeling of a personal Shrine, or Sanctuary to facilitate the best version of how you want to be in your life.

You will be supported to create a visual expression honouring what is most important to you, focussing on what you treasure most, inwardly and outwardly.

This workshop is intended for adults.  No previous art experience necessary, it is suitable for all abilities. Inner re-design is about re-visioning your inner state and visually creating a new template to work with.  There will be some preparatory work prior to the workshop and you will be asked to bring to the workshop items and images that you may want to include in your piece.  You will be introduced to the emotional effects of colour, form, shape, texture and learn various techniques with applying paint and collage, to create a visual expression of the space you want to hold in your life and then to visually include into it what matters most to you, that you would like to give thanks for.  The creation of this piece will serve to remind you of what is most important to you and give you an ongoing focus in your home for prayer and thanksgiving.

"I absolutely loved your Inner Re-Design workshop and found the entire experience utterly; uplifting, stimulating and liberating. The workshop gave me an  opportunity to explore and discover exciting new techniques, which you demystified  (both practically and visually) whilst simultaneously freeing us from any preconceived restrictions in terms of convention and rules.  This approach enabled and invited us on a journey of discovery of both self  and form.  Which revealed  endless possibilities to creatively explore our own personal narratives and discourses from within them.  I found your teaching style to be extremely embracing,  inclusive and very accessible and felt you achieved a very palpable sense of safety in the room towards both the process and self exploration.  A wonderful experience!"

"Thank you for a delightful and inspiring afternoon. I loved it and love what was created. I love what I created. What appeared from the random is absolutely connected, a beautiful expression now in visual form. It has a clear and precise energy and I love it and will frame it, keep it and is truly me. I would love to do more.  You held us beautifully.”  Marie O, Winchester

Your manner was very inclusive and calm, it created a safe and still atmosphere for us all. Your individual attention and input was very useful and supportive.  I particularly enjoyed exploring the different paint techniques using the different materials, I ended up using them to collage rather than anything I had brought with me.  Having the "thinking sheets" beforehand was incredibly useful to me - having gone through the thought process and gathering of material earlier, the main themes were there in my brain ready to be absorbed in the creative process.  I found the meditation surprising as what emerged quite strongly were different colours to what I thought I would use.”  Sonia H, Winchester

"What a blessing you are to those of us who get stuck and don’t know quite how to move forward!! Your calm, quiet and considered approach is so encouraging, enabling people to move on."  Fiona D, Winchester

“You facilitated and held the space very inclusively and you were very clear in the process.   I found the workshop really interesting – I came with a bit of an idea of what I had in mind through the preparation that you sent, when I got into the workshop I found I had to deconstruct it.  Through the way that you described things it really made me able to open up some sort of creative flow inside and keep really open to the process – deconstructing and with your help building up from a different foundation.  The thoughts I had when I came into the workshop still helped to form what I produced and what came through to me but the workshop provided a very different way of doing it.  So I found it quite freeing to not be constrained by the structure of having to make a more formal picture or painting.    I am curious how this way of working and all the techniques you can use, can make something very meaningful to you.

“It was nice to get out of your head, regular thinking,  self talk and just focus on the different techniques.  I thought you came across very confidently, really knew your stuff, and you gave us the inspiration to do it as well as steering us to some extent but you were really allowing and inclusive and that felt like a great space to be in.

I liked creating the materials to use in my picture.  You could just have fun with the different techniques -  like blowing the paint or making it watery, using different consistencies, however it came out and having different colours.

I know through some of the work I have done, to sit with discomfort is often the way that learning a new revelation happens.  That’s quite hard as the facilitator of that space, encouraging people to be open and let whatever happens happen and making that OK - its that safe inclusive space and you are very good at that. When people got stuck you were very good at coming in and saying  “have you thought about this…” giving people a hook to keep going in a direction that they did not even know they were going in.

Its very skilled what you do, tuning into the deeper level.  You could see you were really enjoying it and that gives others positive energy if they are a little unsure.  Your energy really matters and you held the space very confidently and very inclusively.   For me it was very heart led and it is that I enjoy the most.

I am very grateful that you provided such a beautiful space for us and you gave such a lot.”  Nikki Prentice-Jones, Programme Manager, Trainer, Coach
